Rod is a native Arizonan and lives in Mesa AZ with his wife Shelley and three children Justin, Jacob, and Kyle. All his his boys are very active in sports, academics, and professional Chess Clubs. Both Rod and Shelley earned earned their BS degrees in Accounting from Arizona State University. Shelley was a CPA for years before taking on the higher calling of a stay at home mom! Rod has an excellent understanding of the economics of real estate. He began in real estate in 1994 and has a Broker’s license in addition to being a Realtor. He has been successful in every conceivable market. Rod works with many investors and takes a studied approach to the market for both his investor and residential buyers and sellers. Rod’s philosophy is to treat every home as an investment vehicle, for his buyer he negotiates to get a price that will earn a handsome return on investment during the holding period of the asset as he learns during his consultation with his buyers. As a seller’s agent Rod will do his best to only take a listing whereby his clients will earn an acceptable rate of return on the sale of their home; if not Rod has often passed up opportunities and foregone commissions as he put the well-being of his clients first.
Rod’s track record since 1994 is impressive and he has been creative in his abilities to represent his clients through some of the best markets and the absolute worst real estate market in Arizona’s history. He is skilled in selling homes fast! Rod is also talented in determining the needs of his buyers and finding the home that meets their needs as a family and financially as well. Rod and Shelley have a strong family bond and sense of community and are involved in promoting healthy and safe communities. They are active in many civic organizations and because of their view of the family and community involvement – Rod can empathize with the needs of his clients and almost always exceeds the goals that his clients set before him.
